Dale Sexton

On November 6, 2025, H. Dale Sexton, son of Homer Albert Sexton and Leona Grace (Robinson) Sexton, passed away in Chandler at the age of 88. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Norma; his daughter, Cindy of Chandler; granddaughters, Carissa of Tempe and Amanda of Bellingham, WA.; and siblings Joan Russell (Gene) and Stephen Sexton (Marilyn), both of Springfield, MO. Dale grew up in Springfield, MO and met his wife Norma there. He served in the army and was stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ. Dale & Norma loved the Arizona sunshine and decided to stay. In 1964, they moved to Tempe. Dale retired from Motorola in 1998 after 31 years as a Customer Service Coordinator. After retirement, Dale and his wife loved to travel, especially during the summer months, visiting all 50 states. Dale's great passion was cars, especially the Avanti. He joined the Arizona Avanti chapter at its inception in 2001 and served as president for 20 years. He was elected to the Avanti Owners International Association board, where he served for 10 years, with 4 years as board president. He was never happier than when attending car shows locally or at Avanti meets in various states showing off his Avanti. He also loved classic country and bluegrass music, attending numerous bluegrass festivals with his wife on their travels. He was a generous, caring person and will be missed by all who knew him. Private Services will be held at the Veterans National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
