Dale Dwaine Stockburger, Sr. Funeral Services for Dale Dwaine Stockburger, Sr. will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son with Dr. Joe Sharp officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Ball, under the direction of John Kramer & Son. Dale Dwaine Stockburger, Sr., 84, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at The Oaks Care Center in Pineville. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Stockburger; second wife, Elleane Marie Stockburger; and his parents, Cecil and Opal Stockburger. Dale retired after 23 years of service with the United States Air Force, having served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of V.F.W. Post # 1736 and the American Legion Post # 24. Dale helped rebuild Air Base Road Baptist Church where he was a member for 20 years, and for the past three years was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Pineville. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 23 years, Carolyn C. Stockburger; nine children, Gary L. Stockburger and wife Cherri of Washington State, Robert Stockburger of Hampton, Virginia, Michael R. Stockburger and wife Karen of Marion, Virginia, Donna Stockburger of Winter Haven, Florida, Mary Stockburger Galloway of Polk City, Florida, Sharon A. Bersey and husband Robert of Polk City, Florida, Brenda Lucas and husband Randall of Deville, Dale D. Stockburger, Jr. and wife Debbie of Topeka, Kansas, Lee Bassett and husband Chris of Kolin; 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister Jo Ann Olsen and husband Derl of Provo, Utah; brother Dan Stockburger of Greeley, Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers honored to serve are Kaleb Stockburger, Robert Bersey II, Charles Rainy Frazier III, Christopher Robert Frazier, John Craig Stockburger, and Chuck Lucas. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 and from 8:30 a.m. until time-of-service Friday, June 8, 2012 at John Kramer & Son. http://video.mbdkeepsakes.com/video/43559170
