Dale H. Teunissen passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan. He was 80 years old.
Dale was born June 24, 1945 in Sheboygan, the son of Anthony and Mildred (Brasser) Teunissen. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1963.
Dale was united in marriage with Betty Lammers on July 17, 1965; the couple celebrated 60 years together.
Dale was a lifelong farmer in partnership with his brother Rodney, operating Teunissen Farms and Teunissen Shavings, hauling vegetables, saw dust and freight.
Dale was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. Dale enjoyed playing cards with friends, family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed various forms of hunting. In his recent years, he enjoyed watching sports on TV as an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers.
Dale is survived by his wife Betty and their four sons: Dan (Kathy) Teunissen, Mike (Kelly) Teunissen, Jim (Jan) Teunissen and Rob Teunissen; nine grandchildren: Becky (Gordon), Nicky, Crystal, Josh, Tony, McKayla (John), Ashley (John), Evan and Jack; great-grandchildren Oliver, Dominick, Calvin and River; brother Glenn Teunissen, sister-in-law Linda Teunissen; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rodney (Jane) and Steven “Stubby” Teunissen, and grandson Clifford Gauger
A funeral to celebrate Dale’s life will take place at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove at 11:00AM on Monday, November 17 with Pastor Bradford officiating. He will be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Wenig Funeral Home – Oostburg from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, and again at the church on Monday, November 17 from 10:00-11:00AM.
Memorials are suggested in his name for First Reformed’s Trailer Ministry.
