DALE LEROY TIPTON
Dale LeRoy Tipton, 90, Higbee, MO passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home. He was born July 25, 1935, the son of the late Leo and Georgia (Blythe) Tipton. On March 4, 1956, he was united in marriage to Bertha (Burkett) “Bert” Tipton who preceded him in death on May 23, 2016.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five daughters Debby Lancaster and Dallas of Huntsdale, MO, Robin Tipton of Higbee, MO, Cindy Haney of Jamestown, MO, Chris “Tippi” Tipton of California, MO and Shawna Murray and Phillip of Columbia, MO; one sister Zora Harrington of Tallassee, AL; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, two daughters Dalene and Rhonda, and nine brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Dale served his country in the United States Marines Corps from 1953 to 1955. He worked as a Sheetmetal worker for many years and later for Hulett Heating for over 30 years. Dale was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 for over 60 years. He enjoyed trail riding, mules, fishing, bird hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. Dale never met a stranger and was notorious for always trying to get all of his daughters in one family picture.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. A graveside service will be announced at a later date at the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
