Dale Robert Watson, age 54, a resident of Brownsville, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the Hillville Community with Danny Watson officiating.  The family has honored his wishes for cremation and request that any memorials be made to the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, 1280 S. Dupree Ave, Brownsville, TN to help with funeral expenses. 

 

Dale was born on April 9, 1969, in Collierville, TN to Johnny and Emma Sue Watson. He worked as a foreman for Powell & Powell Enterprise and also Britton Bridge Company. Dale loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved watching television, fishing and hanging out at Big Eddy. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Watson of Brownsville, TN; two sons, Troy Guess (Teresa) of Hernando, MS and Shaun Watson of Brownsville, TN; three daughters, Monica Renee Guess (Arick Lansdale) of Jackson, TN, Shelly Lynn Watson of Brownsville, TN, and Tonya Louise Watson (John Cook) of Williston, TN; one brother, Lawrence Watson of Brownsville, TN; one sister, Angie Marie Hill (Tony) of Lexington, TN; nine  grandchildren, Hunter Shipman, Kasey DeFries, Dylan Guess, Dakota Elrod, Cameron Elrod, John Cook, Breanna Cook, Megan Curtis, Jamie Curtis; two great-grandchildren, Karter Shipman and Karson Lee Elrod. 

 

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Junior Watson and Emma Sue Watson, his sister, Melinda Gail Watson Amato and two grandchildren, twin baby Elrod boys.  

 

All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
