Dalene Joyce (née Pendleton) Smith, 61, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 7:20 a.m. after a long courageous battle with CNS Lymphoma.
Dalene was born on January 4, 1964, in Edmonton, Alberta, to Frances and Wayne. Dalene grew up in Fort St. John, British Columbia and in 1984 she moved to Calgary to raise her family.
Dalene will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Loni Paige and Krystle Lynn; her grandson, Austin Cole; her mother, Frances; brothers, Lloyd (Nicky) and Brent; and sister, Shauna (Dale). She is also survived by many extended family and friends.
Dalene will be celebrated for her strength, independence, and fierce spirit. She lit up every room with her smile and had an energy that was truly infectious. She loved to travel, attend concerts and rodeos, and spend quality time with her family and friends. Everywhere she went, she formed lasting connections and left a warm impression on those lucky enough to know her.
