Dallas Presnell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greene Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel on Dec. 5, 2025.
Rock Hill, SC – Dallas Franklin Presnell, 78, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at his home.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-10:50 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The service will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Jackie Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lakes Road, 387 Hollis Lakes Rd, Rock Hill, SC.

Born in Marion, NC, Dallas was the son of the late Robert Presnell and the late Martha Lewis Presnell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Presnell (Pearl).

Dallas retired from Catawba Nuclear Station. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. For many years, he volunteered in mission work, doing various construction projects. He had an engineer's mind, always able to repair and build many different things. In this, he consistently shared his talents with others with a willingness to help anyone in need. Dallas also loved watching high school football games, supporting all local teams. He also enjoyed holding season tickets to watch the SC Gamecocks. Dallas was a huge supporter of his grandchildren's activities, watching Kamryn play softball and Alex racing go-carts. He was an active member of Providence Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Brown Presnell; his son, Gene Culp, Jr.; his daughter, Dawn Taylor (Thomas); his grandchildren, Alex Culp and Kamryn Culp; his 2 brothers, Douglas Presnell (Linda) and Phillip Presnell (Tracy); and his beloved dog, Sherlock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dallas's name to Providence Baptist Church, 1947 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
