Dallis Hoeft was a man with a strong belief in God.  Surrounded by his family, Dallis  joined his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the age of 76.  For many years he was a member of Wausau Bible Church and currently a devout member of Bible Truth Chapel, Wausau.  


He was born September 6, 1933 in Wausau, to the late George and Elsie (Grebe) Hoeft. Dallis served in the United States Army during the Korean War with the Combat Engineers.  On November 26, 1955, Dallis married Mary Alyce Erickson at Wausau Bible Church. He was self employed in construction and remodeling. Dallis and Mary Alyce raised their family in their Rib Mountain home where Dallis was also a member of the Rib Mountain Lion’s Club.


Survivors include Mary Alyce of Rib Mountain, five children; Heidi (Robert) Braatz of Columbus, OH., Wendy (Larry) Williams of Woodbridge, VA., Tammy Hoeft of Wausau, Bambi (Lyle) Garraux of Greenville, S.C., and Brad (Angie) Hoeft of Massillon, OH., seven grandchildren; Amiee (Chad) Nelson of Columbus, OH., Nikolaus Braatz of Chicago, IL, Travis and Brittany Williams of Woodbridge, VA., Keegan and Sasha Garraux of Greenville, S.C., Avery Hoeft of Massillon, OH., one great grandson Caleb Nelson, one brother Lloyd (Mary Ann) Hoeft of Wausau and close family friend Weldon Gordy of Reedsville, GA.


Dallis was preceded in death by two sisters; Betty Trotzer and Laura Joseph.


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, Janaury 25, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
