Dalton Earl Dahlke, 92, passed on September 15, 2024 at Benefis Healthcare. Dalton was born July 11, 1932 at home in Clearbrook, MN to Carl and Mabel Dahlke. Dalton attended Ruffy Brook School until the 8th grade; his mother attended this same country school. He served in the Armed Forces from 1952 – 1954. Dalton moved to Montana in 1955. He met Myrla Wilson and they were married January 21, 1957. Dalton and Myrla owned and operated Inverness Bar & Supper Club from 1961 – 1997. Their daughter Shawn, and son-in-law Elton, bought the business in 1997, Dalton stayed active helping his daughter with the business; he was even working a few hours six days before he passed.
Survivors include Shawn (Elton) Byxbe of Inverness, Shari (Ed) Horinek of Hingham, DeLoy (Melody) Dahlke of Copeland, KS, Derrick (Melissa) Dahlke of Garden City, KS, Shanna Dahlke (Stacey Sarver) of Moscow, ID, Drew (Nancy) Dahlke of Newton, IA, Dale (Rhonda) Dahlke of Rudyard. Sisters Linda Bergland of Bagley, MN, Mary Haugen of Isanti, MN, brothers Arlan (Marie) Dahlke of Bagley, MN, and Carl (Barbie) Dahlke of St Francis, MN. Grandchildren Jared (Kat Roos) Byxbe, April (Jeremy) Douglas, Cole Horinek, Chas (Samatha) Horinek, Randall (Katie) Dunham, Nathan (Jessica) Dahlke, Dillen Dahlke, Logan Dahlke, Katlynne (Kevin) Baalmann, Kincaid (Katie) Dahlke, Kassidy (Dalton Wright) Dahlke, Dawson (Macey) Dahlke, Brianna (Jameric Dailey) Dahlke, Karsyn Dahlke, Kelsey Hoge, Lindsey (Darius) Wendland, Ryan Olson and Brandy Knutson; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2021, parents, brothers Duane Dahlke and Dennis Dahlke.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 26, at 11:00 am at New Beginnings Lutheran Church in Rudyard. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
