It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dalton Patrick Lewis, affectionately known as “Captain”, who left this world on July 14, 2024, at the young age of 19.
Born on April 17, 2005, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Dalton brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
In his short but impactful life, Dalton attended Castleford School and had a passion for Wolves football where he made many lasting friendships. The only thing that he ever wanted to do was be a cowboy. He had many amazing opportunities to cowboy and had a passion for doing better and learning every day. Dalton’s accomplishments and contributions to his community will be forever remembered and cherished.
Those who knew Dalton will always remember that he was wild, went with the wind, and feared nothing, but was so kind, loving and caring. He liked to tell his brothers that our folks gave us a work ethic and a sense of humor. He had a deep love for Jesus that radiated from him in all that he did.
Dalton’s infectious personality and unwavering positivity left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
Dalton is reunited in heaven with his beloved Papa, Pat; and great grandma Rawlings.
He is survived by his loving family members, John (dad); Victoria (mom); younger brothers, Wyatt, John Wayne; Dustin and Alex Raney; sisters, Lydia, Lilly, Shelby, and Bree; Nana Jeffie; Papa, Paul; grandpa, Mike (Dingo); grandma Neva; great grandpa Rawlings; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Dalton’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 2, 2024, at Castleford School, 500 Main Street, Castleford. This gathering will be a time for family and friends to come together to honor Dalton’s memory and share cherished stories of his life.
To Dalton Patrick Lewis, a young soul who left us too soon, may you rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light that you brought to this world. Your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. As the sun sets on Dalton’s time with us, we take solace in the memories shared and the love that will always remain.
Dalton’s legacy will continue to inspire us to live fully, love unconditionally, and cherish each moment we are given.
