Dalton Christopher Smith, age 28, of Denver Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at St. Anthony's hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. Dalton was surrounded by close family and numerous friends at the time of his passing.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Dalton attended Freedom High School before earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. He built a successful career as a chemical engineer with Hyde Engineering in Denver, Colorado, where his dedication and expertise were deeply valued. Dalton was an avid outdoor and gaming enthusiast who loved golfing, camping, skiing, running, cooking and travelling. He was a bright light in every space he entered – kind, thoughtful, quick to smile, and genuinely invested in the people around him. His warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and he was deeply loved by his family, friends, and colleagues.
Dalton is survived by his mother, Donna Smith, father, Stuart Smith, and two older brothers, Luc Smith and Kalen Smith. In addition to his maternal grandfather, Donald Shadic and paternal grandmother, Pamela Smith, Dalton is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Dalton's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm at The Barn at Covington in Dade City, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and love in remembrance of Dalton's remarkable life. At the same time, Dalton's coworkers and friends in Denver, Colorado, will gather to celebrate his life and legacy, reflecting the profound impact he made both personally and professionally.
