Damian J Woods

Damian J. Woods, 73, of Etna, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born on June 27, 1949 in New Zealand to Delmar & Maureen (Sotheran) Woods. Damian served in the United States Army as well as the Air Force Reserves, and continued to serve his community as a member of the Pickerington American Legion Post 283. He worked for 37 years at the U.S. Postal Office. His hobbies include cars and Harleys, turkey shoots, and poker nights. Damian was not a fan of retirement, and you could always find him working or relaxing in his recliner. His family and friends will always remember him for his quick one liners and his ability to make them smile. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Vincent Woods. Damian is survived by loving wife of 53 years, Pamela (Williams) Woods; children Tina (Dereak) Avery, Stephanie (Todd) Wilson, and Jennifer (Billy Hickman) Campbell; siblings Kay Woods, Gary (Debra) Woods, and Douglas (Teresa) Woods; sister-in-law Deborah (Frank) Yokum; grandchildren Cierra, Troy (Chelsea), Holly, Joshua, Kayla (Trey), Corey (Allison), Alyssa (Dylan), and Blaze (James); great-grandchildren Jayden, Ariana, Tanner, Colson, Zoey, Victoria, Aryah, Baylee, Brody, Benjamin, and Shawn; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. His family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, from 1-3pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will begin at 3pm. Damian's family would like to thank all of the staff and doctors at Zangmeister Cancer Center, Caretenders Hospice, and all the facilities that took such great care of Damian and the family.
