Daniel Wayne "Dan" Hooley, 50, of Arkansas City, died Saturday (January 30, 2010) at the Via Christi Medical Center Saint Francis Campus of Wichita. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (February 2, 2010) at the First United Methodist Church of Arkansas City. Pastor Russell Fincham will officiate. Cremation has been effected. Dan was born January 14, 1960, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Jerry and Maryann (Clark) Hooley. He was reared and educated in several different communities where his father served as minister in the United Methodist Church. He graduated from Wichita High School in 1979. Dan married Lisa Halverstadt on April 8, 1992. In Arkansas City. The couple made their home in Winfield until 2002 when they moved to Arkansas City. Dan worked in construction and owned his own construction business for several years. Dan worked for Rubbermaid, and later for the City of Arkansas City. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arkansas City. Dan was a loving father and devoted husband. Survivors include his wife Lisa; children (triplets) Joseph Daniel, Rose Mary and Elizabeth Marie "Libby" Hooley all of the home; his parents the Reverend Jerry and Maryann Hooley of Arkansas City; sisters the Reverend Adelia Hooley of Dodge City, Jeri Kay and her husband Dr. Richard Reed of Graham, Texas, Karen Tingley of Arkansas City; nephews Jon Tingley of Arkansas City, Jere Tingley of Wichita, Mary Ruth, Brian, and Emerson Hooper of Texas; Stephen and Michael Reed of Texas, Keri and Madeline Zimmerman of Spearville, Kansas, Pierce Halverstadt of Winfield, Clair Halverstadt of Wichita; cousins Allen Dogget of Wichita and Connie Calvert of Fargo, North Dakota; brothers-in-law Roger Halverstadt of Winfield, Errol Halverstadt of Wichita and Pete Stoddart of New Zealand; He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorials have been established to assist with funeral expenses or to established an education fund for his children. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are being made through the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com
