Dan Kreiner Obituary

Born in 1940, Dan earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity and served as Social Chairman for three years. He began his career at Pratt & Whitney in Florida before moving to Scottsdale in 1968 to work at Allied Signal, contributing to projects including an auxiliary power unit for the SR-71 and a ceramic automobile engine.
Dan married Mary Lee (Outland) on July 13, 1963, and together they raised two children, Scott and Mary Kate. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time with his five grandchildren. He enjoyed a number of outdoor activities including fishing, boating, skiing, and golfing, and especially loved summers at Kreiner's Kozy, a cabin he built in the White Mountains.
He will be remembered for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His legacy of love and resilience will live on in his family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lee; children Scott (Kristi) and Mary Kate (Chris); grandchildren Bill, Jodi, Katie, Allma, and Ila; and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at Messinger Mortuary on Indian School Road in Scottsdale, AZ, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley or an organization of your choosing.
