Dan Wheldon, today I was home in St. Petersburg, Florida and I went to visit my Dad's grave before heading back to GA and I looked to my left and saw a headstone that said WHELDON. I stopped my car before heading to my Dad's grave and saw that it was your grave. I couldn't believe it, I was watching the race that day, now whenever I go to visit my Dad's grave I will stop in to visit with you. Continue to R.I.P and my God continue to bless your family.

Susie, I have been thinking about you & wondering how you are doing with your beautiful boys. You & I met in Tulum, Mexico & I failed to get your contact info.

Still miss my favorite driver... never will forget you man

…because time and unexpected events overtake them all. For man does not know his time. Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them (Eccl. 9:11,12). Our families and yours must continue to rely on God in these tragic times. We continue to pray for the lost of you and yours.

A year has gone by and you most certainly have not been forgotten. the test of a true champion. You left this world a winner and with a legacy your sons will be proud of and look up to. May you be with God.

It has been so bittersweet this weekend, Dario had a big win, and all Dan's fans..we know he is smiling down on his buddies, getting 1st, 2nd, 3rd at the Indy 500. But, what a huge empty space that only a Lionheart could fill. We miss you, Dan. Indy forever, Nascar, no go :~)

This was the weekend of the Indy's here in St. Petersburg, it just had a certain gloom about it with you gone. Hope you enjoyed the race looking down upon it all. You are truly missed.

Here it is, one month later and I still cant believe it. This should have never happened. Indy will never be the same. Dan's personality made sure of that. We will forever miss him.

We only met you once, but what an impression you left on us. I admired you for your love in helping with alzeheimer since my father died just a year ago with the disease. I know you will live on through your wife and children. Rest peacefully Dan.

The Wheldon family is in our thoughts and prayers. Dan will never be forgotten.
The loss is immense but also immense is the love left behind.

I have worked many years with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, and have met Dan Wheldon numerous times. Each and every encounter was pleasant and inspiring. He sincerely cared about his fans, always stopping to acknowledge a fan or friend. We will truly miss our friend and St. Pete hero. God Bless.

Dan, I was never a fan of race car driving but always felt proud as a resident of the Tampa Bay area and was equally as proud because of my British roots. Down to earth, not a lady's man, family values... The world lost a beautiful spirit last Sunday but, I for one will never forget the warmth of a stranger that day in April 2007. I lost my sister 6 years ago, and several other family members. The pain is still there, but, it is better. No doubt you will find the same strength that I have to keep going.
