Dana Christine (Hart) Lester Obituary
Ms. Dana Christine (Hart) Lester, age 74, of Calhoun, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025.
Ms. Lester was born on January 12, 1951, in Magnolia, AR, to the late Truman Hart and Vina "Inky" Epperson Hart. She was raised in Waldo, AR, and attended Harding University in Searcy, AR.
Ms. Lester devoted her life to caring for others. As a Nurse-Practitioner, she practiced in Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Her deep love for Jesus, as well as others, inspired her to travel multiple times to Panama to do medical-mission work. She was also a passionate animal lover who fed the neighborhood strays.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Lester was preceded in death by her brother, Don Hart.
Ms. Lester is survived by her sons: Robert (Jill) Lester, Josh (Rachel) Lester and Jeff (Neema) Lester; 14 grandchildren: Avery, Addison, Quinn, Kate, Luke, Abigail, Elliot, Camilla, Oliver, Lillian, Zoey, Zarah, Zuriela, and Zaylee (expected in Oct.); brothers: Wendall Hart, Larry (Sandy) Hart), and Doug Hart; and close friend: Tom Tumberello.
Ms. Lester's family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6th, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
A graveside service for Ms. Lester will be held on Friday, August 8th, at 10:00 am, at Columbia Cemetery in Waldo, AR.
