Dana E. Hendrickson

Dana Eugene Hendrickson (September 2, 1952) passed away suddenly on November 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Joseph Hendrickson and Ella Marie (Hankins) Brown, brother-in-law, John LaFever and grandsons Elijah Collins and Alex Paxton. Dana is survived by his wife, Karen Hendrickson, his daughters, Jenifer (Michael) Averill, and Shannon (Jason) Collins, his sister, Linda LaFever, his step-children, Chad (Autumn) Holobaugh, Shawn (Karen) Holobaugh, Heidi (Jason) Dennis, Kat Hartley, Bob Jones. He is also survived by his grandkids, Katey and Seth Averill, Gabriella and Aubrey Collins, Trevor (Haruka) Paxton, Emily and Robbie Jones, Caroline (Michael) Gasca, Jeramy, Teri, Lucas, Olivia, and Darcy Holobaugh, Taylor (Ryan) Baker, Jason Dennis, Morgan (Drew) Lewis, great grandkids Asher, Havyn, Roman, Chevy, Magnolia, Christian, Ann, Allie Mae and Chloe as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Dana graduated from Highland High School in 1970 and enlisted in the Army where he proudly served his country for 4 years. Dana worked as a Master Pressman for many years and after retiring he was a driver for Auto Zone. He worked hard all of his life and enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. Through the years Dana had fun rabble-rousing with his cousins, bowling in various leagues, attending dog shows while showing his beloved Akita, Turk, and relaxing at the beach. Dana was a very consistent and patient man. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Dana's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Dowds - Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon,OH 43050 from 11:00 am - 1:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Dion Frasier officiating.
