Dana Everette McCourt

Dana Everette McCourt, 83 of Webster Springs passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Morgantown Heights.

He was born January 24, 1943 in Webster Springs to the late Golden James and Jewelle Agnes Tracy McCourt and was a coal truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Andy, Mike, and David McCourt and sister Alma Cowger.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Mary “Kay” Cogar McCourt; daughter Eva (Mark) Green of Webster Springs; brothers: Argel (Cheryl) McCourt of Ohio, Joe (Shella) McCourt of Webster Springs, and Daniel McCourt of Buckhannon; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services to celebrate Dana’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Kyle Hall officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to service time, from 11-1, at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Harrison Cochran Cemetery.
