Dana R. Phillips, 78, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on May 18, 1947, in Milwaukee, the son of Robert and Jean (Fenten) Phillips. Dana proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. In 1973, he married Sandra Tadman in Fond du Lac. He worked for the railroad as a mechanic until his retirement. In his spare time, Dana enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music, studying history, watching various tv shows, and loved to learn how things were made.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two children, Kari Phillips and Kimberly (Chris) Loduca; two grandchildren, Payslee and Blake Phillips; five siblings, Walter “Topsy” (Amy) Phillips, Dave Phillips, William (Linda) Phillips, Patsy Phillips, and Barbara Phillips; uncle, Jack Phillips; brother-in-law, Robert Tadman; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean; sister, Pam (Dennis) Rasmussen; and sister-in-law, Shirley Phillips.
Private family burial will occur at Rienzi Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
