Dane Rutledge Obituary
Born February 1, 1956 in York, he was the son of Jean (Baldauf) Rutledge and the late Daniel E. "Ned" Rutledge.
Mr. Rutledge is fondly remembered as a dedicated Attorney-at-Law in New York, and an accomplished gold-medalist martial artist in Japan. He spoke some Japanese, fluent Chinese and was an aficionado of the study of Asian artifacts and culture, as well as spiritual arts. He also loved to sing, and he was a studied and talented voice, trained by famous Broadway star Kurt Peterson.
A committal service to honor Dane's life will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 24th at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Chapel; 725 Baltimore St. in Hanover with Pastor Joan Maruskin officiating. Those attending are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery by 11:15am, using the main entrance and proceeding straight ahead to the chapel.
Arrangements are under the care of Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in Hanover.
