Danial Alan McRoberts, age 51 of Shabbona, IL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
He was born in DeKalb, IL on March 5, 1974, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Bergman) McRoberts. Danial was united in marriage in 2003 to Miss Erin Ottengheime and they have spent many happy years together. He was employed for many years at Vermeer and Caterpillar as a service manager and heavy equipment mechanic. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Danial is survived by his wife, Erin McRoberts of Shabbona, IL; his children, Blake McRoberts of Shabbona, IL and Kaylea McRoberts of Shabbona, IL; his mother, Beth McRoberts of Shabbona, IL; his brother, Randy (Julie) McRoberts of Waterman, IL; his two nieces, Morgan (Jaimee) Warner and Kristen (Garrison) Govig; and his nephew, Reese McRoberts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles McRoberts; and his grandparents.
A funeral service will take place at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 E. Garfield Street, Waterman, IL. Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until the hour of service on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the funeral home in Waterman, IL. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Waterman, IL.
