Daniel Archetti Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home on Jan. 27, 2026.
Daniel L. "Danny" Archetti, 71, of Dover NH passed away suddenly on January 11, 2026, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice FL.A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he leaves a large hole in the lives of all who knew him.

Born in Haverhill MA to James Michael "Jim" and Ann Marie (Fiorentini) Archetti on December 22, 1954,Danny attended Sacred Hearts School and Haverhill High School, graduating in 1973, and making a "Squad" of lifelong friends along the way. Danny's passion for the guitar (and all music) began during these years, and he and some of his friends formed a band, practicing in Danny's basement and enjoying performing live.

Danny began his career at Wang Laboratories where he worked for many years, and met his beloved wife Nancy, whom he married in 1984. After receiving a diploma from Franklin Pierce College in 1989, Danny made a career change and joined his brother Michael's company, Archetti Sales and Marketing as a manufacturer's representative. He would eventually go on to work with many other firms in the pet industry, working his way up to national sales manager.

Danny and Nancy spent many happy years together raising their 3 children, primarily in Chester NH, where Danny was active in youth sports programs and formed many close friendships. They enjoyed many enjoyable times entertaining family and friends by their pool. Sadly, Nancy passed away in 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

In 2013, Danny met the second love of his life, Barbara, at a time when they were both ready to take another chance on love. They married in 2015, and began a new chapter together in Dover, NH, blending their families and friends. They purchased a condo in Florida, where they began spending winters and sharing their many common interests.

In 2021, Danny retired, throwing himself into the things he most enjoyed: spending time with family and friends, watching sports, doting on grandchildren, attending live concerts, playing guitar, golfing, bicycling, kayaking, playing pickleball, going dancing with Barbara, cooking Italian meals, traveling, and spending time at the beach. He was known for organizing an annual dance party at his community in Sarasota, where he acted as emcee and deejay. After a few years of retirement, Danny enthusiastically accepted a part time consulting offer from a former colleague in the pet industry, which he thoroughly enjoyed as a now part-time retiree.

Danny will always be remembered for his zany antics, uproarious humor, his kind and generous heart, quick wit, integrity and how he lit up a room. Everyone who was loved by him was the recipient of his strong devotion, fierce loyalty, self-sacrifice and abilities as both a listener and dispenser of advice. His children will always remember his words

"Be good, Be strong, Be smart"

Danny is survived by his wife Barbara (Andersen) Archetti; children Matthew (and Mariel) Archetti of Salem NH; Devon (and Jackie) Archetti of Salem NH; Emily Archetti& fiancé Brandon Scharff of St. Petersburg FL; and stepchildren Timothy (and May) Dee of Deerfield NH; Michael (and Mollie) Dee of Silver Spring MD; and Stephen (and Samantha Hackney) Dee of South Portland ME. He also leaves behind grandchildren Cole Scharff, Layla Scharff, Dario Cellamare, Jameson Dee, Josephine Dee, Connor Dee, Nolan Dee, and Jordan Hackney Dee, as well as his devoted sisters Diane (Arthur) Foss of Atkinson NH and Jane (Gil) Brasil of Hudson NH. He will be sorely missed by his treasured nieces and nephews Theresa, Billy, Kathleen, Dicky, Jeffrey, Michael, Brian, Scott, Jim, and Brady, who have many fond memories of the times spent with their "funcle" Dan.

Danny was predeceased by his parents James and Ann Marie Archetti, his first wife Nancy (Stowell) Archetti, his brother Michael, and close childhood friend Tom Gagne.
