Daniel "Dan" Babcock

Passed away on March 28, 2026 at the age of 80.

Predeceased by parents, David & Luella Babcock and Mary Babcock; brothers, Adrian, Alan & David.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beth Babcock; daughters, Katie (John) Freezee & Anne (Jason) Babcock-Stiner; beloved grandchildren, Danielle (Zachary Herbert) Freezee, William Freezee, Elliot Babcock-Stiner & Izzy Johnson; sisters, Susan (Thomas) Kelly & Mary (Kate Werner) Babcock; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dan will be remembered as a man who truly embraced life—and packed a suitcase whenever he could to prove it. With his beloved wife by his side, he traveled to all 50 states, explored over 20 countries, and set foot on 6 continents.

At home, Dan’s greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted girl dad and a proud papa to his grandchildren, who knew him as a steady, loving presence (and maybe a bit of a softie when it came to them).

He lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a world that feels a little smaller without him—but a lot richer for the life he lived.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Boulevard.
