Daniel Baca Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors & Crematory on Jul. 8, 2024.
Daniel Ross Baca, lovingly known as Danny, passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 45 in his hometown of Colorado Springs, CO. He was born on November 12, 1978, in the same city.
Funeral Mass and Rosary will be on July 11th at 10:25 am, with mass to follow at 11am St Joseph's Catholic Church 1830 S Corona Ave.
Danny was a man of many passions and hobbies. He found immense joy in fishing, spending countless hours on the banks of rivers and lakes, especially in the serene mountains. He also enjoyed the thrill of gambling in Cripple Creek and was an avid supporter of the Colorado Avalanche and the Minnesota Vikings. In his leisure time, he would engage in video games with his beloved nephew and partner in crime, Christopher.
When it came to food, Danny had a weakness for hamburgers, chicken fried steak, and ice cream. His taste in music was diverse, ranging from hard rock and heavy metal to regional Mexican tunes and hymns. He cherished singing along to his favorite bands and musical artists.
Danny's warm and welcoming nature endeared him to all who knew him. As an usher at his church, he took great pleasure in greeting and interacting with everyone who walked through the doors. He never met a stranger and brought happiness to those around him.
His proudest accomplishment was raising his nephew, Christopher, and his dream was to have children of his own someday. Danny's kind and giving nature made a lasting impact on the lives of others. He was always ready to share his knowledge about Native Americans and Sasquatch, filling conversations with enthusiasm and laughter.
Danny is survived by his parents, his brother Dennis, and his cherished nephew Christopher. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
In memory of Danny's vibrant personality and his love for fishing, gambling, and spending time with loved ones, a private service will be held to celebrate his life. He will forever be remembered as a happy, congenial, and kind-hearted soul who brightened the lives of those he encountered.
Rest in peace, Danny. You will be deeply missed.
