Daniel Eliseo Barajas Sr.

Daniel Eliseo Barajas Sr., age 78 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025. Daniel was born May 4, 1947 in Alvin, Texas, and was a lifetime member of the Alvin community. Daniel served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne and is a Vietnam Veteran and is a member of the American Legion Post 129. He was a postman for years in Alvin, then worked at the Chemical plants until he retired. Daniel enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling in the states and to his other home in Mexico. One of his favorite things to do was smoking briskets, cooking barbecue in general. He also enjoyed rebuilding engines on cars until his health started declining. He loved his corvette! The past 6 months Daniel also enjoyed volunteering as a Safety Coordinator at GM&I Services, where he brought joy to the team and they called him Popo.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Juan Pasqual Barajas and Manuela Barajas.

Daniel is survived by his wife Victoria Barajas; son Daniel Barajas II and wife Jennifer; daughter Andrea Gentry and husband Joseph; sisters Alice Cloud and Diana Almanza; brothers Solomon Barajas and wife Sylvia and Robert Barajas and wife Margaret; grandchildren Michael, Sheridan (Manny), Lauren (Jesse), Alysse, Addison, and Logan; great-grandchildren Elijah who is due in March and Sidney who is due in April.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at Faith Family Fellowship, 1031 W. Sealy, Alvin, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Service 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Faith Family Fellowship. Interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery.
