Daniel Beardslee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Inc. - Mount Clemens on Dec. 2, 2025.
Daniel Paul Beardslee, Sr., age 79, of Casco, Michigan, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Born on June 24, 1946, to the late William and Mary (Cooper) Beardslee, Daniel grew up alongside his two siblings, cherishing the bonds of family from an early age. After graduating from high school, he pursued trade school and went on to build a long and dedicated career at Ford Motor Company as a tool maker, retiring after 42 years of service.

Beyond his professional life, Daniel's true passion was found outdoors. He was deeply devoted to the training of coonhounds-often referred to as coon dogs-including AKC-registered breeds such as the American English Black and Tan, Bluetick, Plott Hound, Redbone, and Treeing Walker. A proud member of the Michigan United Field Trials Association, Daniel was well respected and widely known in the field trials community.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Daniel also found joy in caring for animals at home. He shared a special bond with his beloved indoor dog, a mixed breed affectionately named "Pedal Pusher." His love extended to tending chickens and raising pigeons, a flock that included homing pigeons, Birmingham Rollers, and fancy breeds.

Family was at the heart of Daniel's life. He delighted in including his children in annual trips to the Kenton National Coon Dog Trials in Ohio over the Fourth of July and Labor Day holidays. Through these traditions, he instilled in them a deep appreciation for animals, responsibility, and the rewards of hard work and care.

Daniel will be remembered as a man of dedication, kindness, and passion-whether in his career, his love of animals, or the time he spent with family. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught and the memories he created.

His survivors include his children, Daniel (Tracey) Beardslee, Jr., Kevin Beardslee and Chad Beardslee, stepchildren, Laquitia (Jim) Brumm, Bonnie (Thomas) Geiser and Debby Carbone. He was the proud grandfather of Maria, Katrina, Austin, Joseph, Tyler, Devin, Randy, Tamara, Sheena, Danielle, Tahnee, Amanda, Michelle, and Paul. The family tree grows stronger with the addition of great grandchildren, Alaynna, Isabella, Niko, Kamari, Jasawn, Jax, Olivia, Cole, Chloe, Naomi, Jasaih, Naijah, Caleb, and one soon to arrive. Siblings, Sally (Joe) Goike and William (Gloria) Beardslee, a niece Marilyn and nephew Alex also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sally.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, MI.

At Daniel's request there will be no services.
