Daniel Joseph Bourgoine, 66, died June 8, 2025 at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born in Hartford Connecticut, March 29, 1959 the son of Charlie and Patricia (Lambert) Bourgoine. He was a graduate of Limestone High School, a successful real estate broker and owner of Kayak Country and D.B. Realty. Daniel was a true outdoorsman and Master Maine Guide. He could often be seen kayaking down the Aroostook River, and enjoyed hunting waterfowl with his son, River. In the winter, he would spend his time ice fishing on Square Lake or Long Lake. He also enjoyed trips to the Allagash, and riding motorcycles. Daniel was a wonderful friend and family member; he would help anyone at a moment’s notice with no questions asked.
Daniel is survived by his son, River Bourgoine of Fort Fairfield, his step-father, Rodney Rolfe of Norway, siblings, Denise Bourgoine and husband Dave Baker of Cundy’s Harbor, Julie Anderson and husband Dan of Portland, Renee Bourgoine-Serio and husband Victor of Rochester, NY, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 5PM until 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery. Following the Mass all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments.
