I took a tour at the Pentagon today and I went into the Reflecting Rm. I looked at list of names on the wall and Daniel Caballero stood out to me. Mainly because I have a son named Daniel and relatives with the same last name. I prayer for all the families who lost loved ones. Afterwards, I decided to look up Officer Caballero. Imagine my surprise when I read that he was from Houston Texas and I am from Galveston, Texas. I prayed for your family, friends and all your loved ones. My oldest son is a Marine and works at the Pentagon. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel you Daniel´s family and friends.#RIP

September 11, 2019
Hard to believe it's been 18 years. A couple of years ago, I was finally able to visit the Memorial at the Pentagon for Cabby and the other victims of 9/11, and it was just as emotional as I thought it would be. I took my family and was able to try and explain to my youngest why his first name is Daniel and what that name represents.
I retired from the Navy last month, and as my career was winding down, all I could think about was how Cabby never got this same opportunity we have had these last 18 years, and how life just isn't fair sometimes. I miss that dude, and just think/hope his family knows just how much of an impact his short time on this planet has made on the people whos lives he crossed.

Hello, I am a student from Shanley High school and we have been learning about people that were affected by the attacks on 9/11. I learned about Daniel Martin Caballero and I would like to say that from what I have read it very apparent how many lives he touched and how much joy he brought to so many people. Your family will always be in my thoughts and Prayers.

CABBY,
I know I'm a day late. Yesterday I marched in a parade and went to a memorial. It's hard to believe that this will be my last year in the Navy. We would be retiring next year. I promise to have you with me at my ceremony as you are always in my thoughts and prayers.

You were such a great man. Integrety. True friend.
Miss you.

Dear Caballero Family,
I attended the moving 9/11 Memorial for the first time tonight, and it was powerful. I felt I should adopt a fallen hero and pray for the family. I shot a video of the falls and ended up with Daniel's name. I have uploaded the video. It can also be seen at http://youtu.be/NZHuG3U_58Q
I will pray for you often. I bless you and thank you for raising an fine man, who I never met, but who served others and died a hero. "Greater love has no man than to lay down his life for others." (Jesus Christ).
Sincerely,
Brian Arnold

Danny-
I always feel like there is so much more I want to say. I'm sad and I miss you and even more sad for your family. I was reading an article the other day and its topic was how most 15 year olds have never heard the truth about what happened on 9/11/2001. To them, it's a day that's discussed in their world history class. It's a day that many have questions about but not sure where to find the answer. I have a 4 year old and most recently a new born. Today I made it a point to talk about you and the others that were taken away from us way too soon. My kids will always know the truth and will never have to look far for answers to their curiosities. I am honored and privileged to have known you and I will always carry on your name where and when I can. I love and miss you Danny boy! You are a true hero!
Always,
Steve

Oh boy, this is going to be hard to write as I fight back the tears. I remember you as a quiet and shy little boy who stayed across the street from me. I was quite shocked and surprised to hear of the news that you passed away. I tried calling your family to say that I was sorry for their loss but I couldn't really talk. I was on the verge of tears so I just hung up the phone. Sorry for hanging up on your family. But what I really want you to know is that even though we hadn't seen each other in MANY years, I still think of you and your family. I think of you through out the years and always will. I will never forget you.

Good Afternoon,
My name is Katy McCabe. I am participating in the GORUCK Challange (GORUCK.com) Sept 11th NYC commemoration event this weekend, a 7 hour physical performance through NYC that begins at 8pm on Sept 10th and ends at sunrise on the 11th. As part of our work load throughout the race we are required to carry four bricks in our packs...I have written the names of seven fallen, one for each flight and one for each target. I wanted to tel lyou that I chose to write Daniels name on one of my bricks, his age and origin and carry that with me through the event. I am sorry for your loss and I hope that you know that we will never forget those who were lost on that day.

I attended to the Pentagon Memorial Dedication Ceremony.
The sixteenth name to be read was Naval Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel Martin Caballero.
Before there was a chance to ring his bell, two girls and one guy sitting in front of me began to weep.
Almost immediately, I could not hold back tears and started balling which in turn caused a chain reaction.
It was surreal.
Danny was right on the path of destruction. HE'S A TRUE HISPANIC AMERICAN HERO!

So, tomorrow will mark 6 long years since that ever-changing day in history.. I still remember that point in time, as others do too... Only, it hit way too close to home. We all miss you dearly Danny. I remember those few weeks sporting our "danny's missing" buttons, -praying each night that you were okay... only to soon turn into: "In our hearts always."
Hey i was looking through my baby album and found a cute picture at my 2nd or 3rd b-day... it was super cute, my sis had a sailor outfit on, a little version of YOUR uniform!!, and quess who was next to her.. you, Claudia and Andi- only you're a little blurry in the pic, i guess the camera or the flash- hmmm.. i don't know... But it was kinda strange because like in movies or dreams, you see Angels and you can't always get a clear view of 'em, like they're in clouds and such... So here you are, our Angel watching over your family who loves and misses you more than you could possibly imagine.
oh! and I saw everyone at grama's bday, a couple months ago- you're neices are such characters!!! SO CUTE!! i wish they would have been able to meet you. What a wonderful human-being you were and are. You continue to touch peoples lives to THIS day, I know that for a fact! You are a True Hero in my book primo..
May peace be with you,
