Daniel Scott Campbell

Daniel Scott Campbell was born June 27, 1980 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He lived in the great city of Baltimore until he was 4 years old when he moved with his family to Severn, MD. He remained in Severn, attending Jessup Elementary, MacArthur Middle, and graduated from Meade Senior High in 1998. Daniel went onto college but always marched to the beat of his own drumming. He worked for Sylvan Prometrics/Thompson Learning for many years as a software developer before moving on to bigger and better things. At the time of his death he was employed by Ageis Mobile. Daniel leaves behind his devastated partner Brian Datis Cox and parents James & Mary Campbell. Daniel is survived by 3 brothers, Donald Michael & his wife Kathy, Steven James & his wife Brandy, & Stuart Craig; 2 sisters, Jamie Elaine & Brittany Beth Lynn. He was surrounded by multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins his whole life. His aunts and uncles include the late Donald Ammons of SLC, Utah, Ranae & John Sewell of Catonsville, Dave & Belinda Miller of Owings Mills, Michelle Whipple & Mike White, and Stuart & Michelle Ammons of Severn, MD, Mike and Barbara Cass of Waco, Tex. Remembering his fondly are his loving sister-in-laws, Rebecca Skinner, Nicole Payne, Amanda Wright, Danielle Pusloskie, & Stephanie Franck. His doting nieces and nephews Kyle Jonathon, Cody Seth, Wayne David, Lily Marie, DeAndre Dwight, Connor David, Luciana Kasey, Amiyah Briyelle, and Sophia Grace. Daniel is preceded in death by his loving Nanny, Audrey Ammons and cousin, Angela Miller-Marshall but is survived by cousins: Dorian Edward, Melissa Dawn, Lisa Eileen, Karri Ann, Mark Jason, Christopher Bradley, Kimberly Marie, Audrey Ann, Nicole Denise, David Charles, William John, and Grandmother, Grace Campbell. He leaves Brian's parents, Warren & Cathy Cox, & his loving sister, Lauren Cox. All will miss him terribly. In addition to this host of family, Daniel was surrounded by many, many friends and loved ones who will miss him just the same. One of his dearest friends & longtime roommate, H. Edward Ricks will remember him forever. Please forgive us for not naming everyone but there are just too many to name. Please know that he loved you all. We want Daniel's passing to be a celebration of life as he loved it to the fullest. An avid Trekkie….he loved him some Star Trek…. (NOT STAR WARS & PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE THE TWO), lover of all things German and Roman, follower of Les Miserables, Caps fan, and a computer junkie. Once he found some thing he liked, he would latch on and learn everything possible about it and love to outsmart anyone who thought they knew more than he did about it!! Daniel recently traveled to Mexico with Brian and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. They were trying to plan another trip soon to enjoy their life together. Daniel played baseball, football, & lacrosse, was in Scouts all the way to Eagle and performed as a thespian in high school. There was not too much he wasn't willing to try. He loved to read, go to Caps games, stay up late, watch TV, and work. There wasn't anything he was not good at. He leaves a path of devastation in his passing but we can only pray that bigger and better things await him in his new journey. We will continue on for him, in his memory, and remember the good things, fun times, and beautiful memories he leaves back here, with us. Daniel, we love and miss you.
