We are deeply saddened to share that Daniel Rolland Chancey Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted husband, a caring father, a cherished grandfather, a beloved great-grandfather, a veteran to the US Marines, and a dear friend to many. Born on November 27, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, to Daniel and Twilah Chancey, Daniel touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Chancey, and his dear children, Gary Terry, Tina Terry as well as his mother, Twilah Chancey, his father, Daniel Chancey Sr., and siblings Ronnie Jamison, Kathy Morbitzer, and Michael Chancey.

Daniel’s spirit lives on through his daughters, Theresa Christman, Pamila Peters, Angela Fee, and Nancy Coleman; his sons, Jeff Terry, Rick Terry, and Daniel Chancey III; and his sisters, Nancy "Lee" Parfitt and Terry Jo Griffith. His family was his pride and joy, and he found immense happiness in their company.

In his later years, Daniel enjoyed nurturing his garden, square dancing, and participating in the "Show Stoppers." He cherished the friendships he built and the many joyful activities at the Evans Center and the Senior Living center, bringing smiles to those around him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Monday, June 30th, from 4 PM to 7 PM, and again on Tuesday, July 1st, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, OH.
