Daniel Chesnut Obituary
SCHODACK - Daniel R. Chesnut, 78, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Daniel was born in Albany, N.Y., the son of the late Robert Chesnut and Margaret (Bush) Chesnut.
Daniel was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the Adirondacks. He was a member of the American Legion.
Daniel retired as a self employed Construction Builder, and also worked for Richard Wood home builder in Schodack for many years. Dan also worked as many years Organic Chem., in Rensselaer, where he retired.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy Chesnut; daughter, Sharon Moore (son-In-law, Joshua Moore); grandchildren, Katelyn Moore; Daniel Moore and Robert Moore;
He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Chesnut; and brother, David Chesnut.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Monday Nov. 3, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m., in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Tpk. Rensselaer, N.Y. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery.
Contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, N.Y. 12110.
