Daniel Paul Cleveland, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025 at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab in Salisbury, North Carolina, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Dan was born on July 15, 1937 in Jackson, Mississippi, to John Thomas Cleveland and Emma Floyd Meyers Cleveland. He met Anna Marie Summers at Clinton High School and married on August 29, 1958 in Jackson, Mississippi. They raised two children and resided in Land O' Lakes, Florida, for 43 years until they moved in 2016 to Rockwell, North Carolina, to be with family. Avid travellers, they spent 10 of their retirement years driving an RV from Florida to Alaska and alternating years to Nova Scotia. Dan was a loving husband, father, and Pop Pop. He had unconditional love for his family and friends, loved music and jokes, was a body builder, a master woodworker, a lifelong fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

I will remember your Dad the first way I met him. Tall, strong, and kind! We should all get together with his famous Moscato and celebrate his life! He loved big and was loved big!

RIP to a giant of a man and a good friend. I´m so glad I was able to write about your catfish trips back in the day. And I still chuckle when thinking about you asking if I wanted to see "your pride and joy" and then taking out your wallet to show off photos of bottles of Pride and Joy.

Dan was a joy. We would talk about his wood carving of ducks, body building and his travels. He will be missed.
