Daniel John Clint, known to most as Dan and lovingly called Danny by those closest to him, was born on Christmas Day, December 25th, 1952, in Conneaut, Ohio. He passed away July 17th, 2025.

Dan was an analytical man with a heart devoted to truth, freedom, and humanity. His passion for geopolitics and justice often led to long-winded (and sometimes maddening) conversations but always came from a place of fierce love and concern for people around the world. He spent countless hours reading and researching, driven to share his insights and shed light on what he considered urgent global concerns.

He was a steadfast father to Allan and Autumn and a supportive partner to Bulan, a strong woman who lovingly cared and challenged him in all the right ways. Their 18 year relationship gave Dan a sense of purpose, companionship, and deep emotional connection in the final years of his life.

Dan delighted in his relationship with his granddaughter Chloe. He enjoyed nothing more than watching her grow and learn. He was very proud of her, recognizing a spark of brilliance that reminded him of his own curious mind. Just as he had done with his own children, he loved challenging her intellect and engaging her in thoughtful conversations.

Professionally, Dan ended his career as a nuclear mechanical planner at Perry Nuclear Power Plant, where he worked beside top-level engineers despite having no formal degree beyond high school. His intelligence, grit, and determination often made the impossible seem doable. He was a man who could fix anything and figure anything out. He felt a duty to use his mind for the good of others. He saw himself as a messenger-and for those who listened, he often was.

One of his greatest joys was being on the water. A lifelong lover of sailing on Lake Erie, Dan knew everything there was to know about sailboats and was tough competition in racing. He also loved tinkering with tractors and motorcycles, collecting parts to put things together just right.

He is survived by his children Allan and Autumn, his beloved partner Bulan, his cherished granddaughter Chloe, and siblings David, Barb, Paul, and Carol. He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda, father Bernie and his cousin Tom.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on August 17 at Dublin Down in Ashtabula, Ohio. All who knew Dan are invited to attend, share stories, and help honor his legacy. He left a lasting impression on many and the family would love to hear your memories.
