Dr. Daniel M. Conforti

If you get this my name is Ellen Chapman and I am so very sorry that this is 1 1/2 yrs late. A friend had tried to send it to me when he passed away, but it was an old address. I was one of Dan’s nurses when he came to Dayton at South Dayton Pediatrics and then when he went out on his own. Everything I have read in these responses is spot on. Dan was one of the wisest, most compassionate, gentlest, people ever. I worked with him for 8 yrs until we moved from Dayton.

I just found out of his passing and I am very sorry for your loss as well as our community's loss. It became very apparent after our first daughter's birth that he was the Doctor we would entrust her care to. I join in others comments that Dr. Conforti was so kind, caring, professional yet personable. I knew we were all in good hands with Dr. Conforti. I remember when Stephanie had to go to Children's for emergency surgery due to abcessed lymph node.
He met us there and brought such calm to the situation and answered all of my questions. I could not ask for a better pediatrician for my children.

Danny was my classmate and good friend when we were boys growing up in Seneca. I later worked with his dad --,another beautiful human being --,at the Morgantown newspaper. I have never met a finer human being than Dan Conforti. He was kind, generous, compassionate and focused on doing everything in life the right way. God bless, Dan, until we meet again.

Dan Conforti was immediately suggested when I needed a Dr. for my first baby ('85). He noticed things, a floppy hip (Ortho referral). But that small skin tag just in front of her ear? He matter of factly explains it's no big deal and he can take care of it now. Zip-zop with a quick scissor snip its gone! I'm wide eyed, she's barely crying. Dr. Conforti was calm, kind and had a busy, successful practice as all these testimonies attest. For some reason he came to mind today. I googled him and cried and cried. Praying for peace as you mourn and cherish.

Rest in peace, Dr. Conforti. You were a great doctor to our three children.

Dr. Conforti was a kind and gentle man. He took such good care of my two boys, and he listened to this new mother and calmed my fears. May you feel the loving arms of God hold you and comfort your broken hearts. We weep with you.

He was always there for us no matter what time of day or night it was to help us through unexpected health issues. Such a kind and caring man. I have been at Kettering for 20 years and I always loved Dr. Conforti's bedside manner with the babies and his respectful way of dealing with the staff. So sad, my heart is heavy with his loss. Prayers.

Before being our neighbor Dr. Dan was the partner of our children's pediatrician back when it was Conforti, Horn, and Dempsey. As our neighbor he lovingly took great care of our mature tomcat Sammy when we went away for weekends or vacations. While we were away, he also tended our tomatoes and our plants and trees without our asking- he just did. Another act of love was checking out our granddaughter in our home while we were frantic after she fainted one weekend while staying with us. Gin and Dan are the most peaceful loving people ever. We lost a most generous human God created last week. We will do what his obituary suggested by being kind to others as he always was in memory of his life on earth.

Our prayers are with each of you as your walk this very difficult journey. Words are not enough to express the utmost love and respect our family has for him. Dr Dan was our beloved pediatrician for our 5 children. He truly was the very best at taking care of our kids. His funny jokes .. his crazy ties .. finding mashed potatoes in their ears to calling us in the evenings to check on our sick kids. He truly cared and you felt his caring in your hearts. I was blessed as a Nurse on the Mother/Baby unit at Kettering hospital to round with him as well and see him interact with new parents and how empowered he made the new parents feel in taking home these tiny babies! He truly respected the nurses on a daily basis and he would listen to our concerns and value our input!! His humor was contagious .. his laugh made you laugh .. but his genuine love for his tiniest patients to grown children and to ALL parents was evident every time you met him ! Dr Dan was one of a kind .. a truly kind and gentle soul and a very very respected physician and friend! We truly hope that the love Dr Dan gave to the world will be felt in your hearts for a lifetime .. and will help you thru the pain of losing such a great man! Heaven gained a true Angel as we are sure he has all the little children gathered around him in Heaven! Sending endless prayers from our family to yours! We truly LOVED our Dr Dan !!

Our family was incredibly shocked and saddened by Dr. Conforti's passing. He was my and my siblings' pediatrician for many years and such a caring, kind, and intelligent person. He will be greatly missed in the community. We are all thinking of his family.

Prayers for Dr. Conforti's family, and hoping some comfort can be taken from reading how much he meant to so many. Dr. Conforti was our pediatrician from the day our son was born in 1989. Dr. Conforti had a magical touch, something we felt so many times through the years. Just one of so many Dr. Conforti memories- the time he met us at his office on Christmas Eve evening to treat what he knew would be an early ear infection. When we got there, he'd already called Woody's pharmacy to make sure we could pick up a prescription right away. So not just a great physician but a great and gentle man, too. Having Dr. Conforti in our lives was a blessing in so many ways. We will miss him.

Dr. Dan was my two older girls pediatrician and they adored him! He was so gentle, kind, wise and patient. This truly is an incredible loss and we are praying for your entire family. Dr. Dan is a treasured memory for our family.

Dr Conforti was a wonderful man. He was my pediatrician through much of the 80's and 90's. He had a demeanor about him that was very calming and reassuring. I was a very hyperactive child and my mother recently told me that when Dr Conforti would come into the room I immediately shaped up and paid attention to him. I respected him and was drawn to his kindness and his sense of humor. Though it's been probably 20 years since I've seen him, I remember him so vividly, including the sound of his voice. My heart broke when I heard the news about him this week. My heart goes out to his family. I hope you find peace in knowing he is no longer suffering and has gone home to God.

Thirty-five years ago in 1984 Dr. Daniel Conforti was highly recommended to us by our OB-GYN, Dr. Barbara Pusbach...sadly, both of which are no longer with us...how blessed we were to have two great doctors...Dr. Dan for our daughter and Dr. Barbara for me. They both set the standard high and no doctor since has even come close to them. Even early in his practice, he had wisdom beyond his years. He knew he needed to take care of the parents first and then their little ones. He was a great Pediatrician...and will never be forgotten by the little ones he so lovingly took care of and their parents. We pray the Lord's peace, strength and comfort at this difficult time for his precious family and everyone who loved Dr. Dan. He will be missed and never forgotten.

I remember working many nights in the NICU at MVH and Dr. Conforti would be in to check on his littlest patients. He was so kind and funny and an obvious choice as my daughter's pediatrician. She was a very sick NICU baby and he took great care of her. He even met me in the office on a Sunday afternoon because she wouldn't stop crying. My heart breaks for his family. He was a great man and will be missed so very much.

Praying your family finds Comfort in all the kind thoughts shared. He was truly it a wonderful man. He saw my children through the nineties until his retirement. We were blessed to have him. He deserved so much more than life dealt him in his health.

Dr Conforti was my son's pediatrician in the late 1970s & early 1980's. He was so comforting when my son was ill. A wonderful man.

Dr. Conforti was our childrens first doctor. He was a kind, gentle, intelligent, caring doctor. Everything new parents hope to entrust the care of their young family. Our family sends prayers and our deepest condolences to Dr. Conforti's family. He was truly a wonderful man that helped many people.

Dr. Conforti did the "well baby check" at St. Elizabeth hospital for our son when he was born in 1989. Not only was he wonderful to our new little one, but he was kind and compassionate to me. He was a wonderful physician. We are sending our deepest sympathy to all his family.

My two children were always delighted when they had to visit Dr. Dan. I was a young mother and he always knew what to say to put not only the children at ease, but also the parents. They are grown now, but sweet and caring memories remain. This is such a great legacy to leave behind. Many thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

This is a horrible loss! I was one of his patients when I was young. I was very sick as a child and he never gave up hope!! He would come in before the office opened and see me after hours when I was sick!! He cared so much for his patients. I am 42 now and still am amazed by his compassion. You just don't see doctors like him anymore!! He is loved and will be missed!!

I worked many weekends with Dr. Dan in the ER at CMC years ago. He was a great physician and advocate for children and their families. He influenced many nurses and physicians with his caring bedside manner and knowledge. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. My heart aches for you all

Dr. Conforti was the pediatrician for my two brothers and myself, in Kettering, for a number of years. He was a wonderful doctor, but more importantly a kind, gentle, funny man. He was also our standard for all future people in the medical community with none fully living up to his awesomeness. I always remember his little jokes and comments during our visits. Definitely feel so fortunate to have had him in our lives.

Dr. Conforti was my pediatrician when I was a child. I remember his kindness and gentleness (and his colorful, fun neck ties) very well. My heart hurts for your loss. He will be missed and remembered fondly by so many. Sending love.

Dr. Conforti was our very favorite doctor. When he retired, I wrote him a letter to tell him how much our family appreciated him. Both my children were his patients, and they loved him. He made them feel at ease in the doctor's office, and they were not afraid to go to him. When our daughter was 5, she had an accident where he had to put in stitches. It hurt him as much as it hurt her to do that. He was so caring and gentle with so much empathy for both his patients and their parents. We met him at the office several times on emergency visits, and he was always available to talk to us. This is such a great loss for his family and for all of his former patients and their parents. We wish much comfort to his family as so many of us grief with them.

Dan in the Huber Heights office for about 10 years. He was so kind and gentle with the kids. He had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed working with him. Condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Conforti was the most kind, humble and caring doctor I have every known. He helped me as a "deer in the headlights" young mother in 1979. His guidance helped us raise two daughters through every "health situation" that came our way. It was his humor and wisdom that helped us survive life's little bumps in the road. As my now 39 year old daughter told me, "Mom, he left beautiful footprints on this earth and on our hearts. Hopefully he will always be remembered in that positive light...and for telling us that all he could see was mashed potatoes in my ears".

Dr. Conforti was a great and caring person and physician. While not my boys' pediatrician, he was for many of my friends and they always loved him. God bless his family and friends and may his memories bring them comfort.

"Dr. Dan" was our pediatrician when we lived in the Dayton area many years ago. He was always so very kind, patient, thorough and helpful. Our daughter still remembers all the "cool ties" he wore. His death is a very sad loss, and our sincere condolences go out to all his family and friends.
