Quite simply he was the best men I've ever known. I met him when I went to visit my best friend, Brooke, and sometimes I would stay at his house. He welcomed me immediately and without a doubt was one of the warmest, kindest, considerate and interesting men I've known. We would sit up late and he'd put on an old movie and tell me all about the actors, he would talk about the war or his old days in Scranton, his youth... but no matter what we were talking about he would always relate it somehow to his family. That's who was clearly most important to him. And he was SO proud and felt so loved.
He was lucky to have his family so close, so he could be visited daily by the ones he cherished the most. Whatever words of praise are in the English language, this man deserved them all. He will be truly missed.

My grandpa is the most amazing man i'll ever know. He has been my best friend since he held me as an infant. Growing up with him has been such a blessing. He had always been there for me and never once yelled at me. My grandpa loved his family and would take any opportunity to talk about us. You would know the love he had for us and we have for him by seeing all the family photos in his home.
Those who have met him, you are extremely lucky. If you have not met him, you would of loved him instantly. He was quite the gentleman and always dressed presentable. My grandpa had the look of a classic movie star and a personality that made you feel welcomed in his presence. He would never turn someone away who needed help or a someone to talk to.
My grandpa taught his family how to love strangers, respect others, obey our parents, follow our dreams, love God, stay close to family and dance when your spirit needs a lift. He also taught us how to take the road less traveled. He loved to take long drives with no real destination in mind. If we had to drive 10 minutes away he would make it an hour drive. He was filled with adventure and the love to travel. He always felt life was too short to not want to see the world. He had traveled many places, Italy being his favorite of course. One day I hope to see Italy and the family we have there. That was always a wish he had for me.
He was 99 but you wouldn't of thought it by seeing him. I believe his young personality is what kept him looking 10 years younger than he was. He was funny and enjoyed laughing. We use to play with face apps that would change the way we look or turn us into some sort of animal.
I could write for days about him and never be able to compete this.
Thank you to all who loved him and prayed for his health.
I love you gramps and you'll always be my favorite.
