Daniel P. Crago, 63, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and love. He was born October 20, 1958, to Leonard Eli Crago Sr. and Diana Mae Clendenning Crago.
Dan married his best friend, Rhonda Rae on September 22, 1979. A great man and loving husband, he was also a wonderful father to three beautiful children, and the best Pap to his four grandchildren.
Dan worked for 42 years at Weirton Steel/ ArcelorMittal. When he wasn't providing for his family, he loved to spend time outdoors hunting and working the land with his trusty Ford 8N tractor. He could always lighten the mood with a timely joke or teach a lesson with a story from his grandfather, father, and the ever-loved Dode Morton.
He grew up on Swearingen Hill with a crew of great childhood friends. Many of his days were spent putting miles on his bicycle traveling out the ridge or to visit his grandfather on Kings Creek.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Eli Crago Sr, and his brother Leonard "Lennie" Eli Crago Jr.
He will be fondly remembered by his mother Diana, his loving wife Rhonda, his three children, Kyle Daniel (Erin) Crago, Kevin Ray (Courtney) Crago, Carly Marie (Ryan) Warner, his four grandchildren, Warren Eli, Wesley Ray, Nora Leigh Crago, and Hazel Rae Warner. He will also be remembered by his sister Doreen Jenkins and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 19, 2022, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton WV. The family requests your respect during a private burial the following day at New Cumberland Cemetery.
We love you Dad.
