My mother's funeral, was among the funerals he handled early in his career in 1991. He also handled my father's funeral in 2014 & was very kind to give me a plastic cover for my Dad's military flag. Dan handled the funerals of many family members & friends in between. It was great talking to Dan about family, friends & the Dover Community. What a shocking loss. Sending heartfelt sympathy to Dan's family & friends. Gone, but not forgotten.

I had met Dan after my Father's passing last spring. He took care of our family very well on two separate occasions and I grew to like him almost instantly. I am sorry to hear of his loss for his friends and family.

My deepest sympathy to you Cathy and the girls, I just saw the obituaries in the Catholic Witness.
I am so saddened that I did not know and did not attend the service to pay my respects.
Dan was a wonderful person and client, we had so much fun building your home. And when my mom passed all the details were so thoughtfully taken care of at that difficult time.
God Bless you and all the family, you will all be in my prayers. love to all...Deb Bailie

Cathy, Heather and Alyssa,
Dan was a wonderful person and great friend and neighbor when Jane and I and our girls lived on Main Street. He was caring and so helpful when both our mothers died. The community has lost a fantastic person. Jane and I were shocked when we just learned of his passing and that we are out of town until next week and were unable to be there to pay our respects.

What a great loss to the Dover and surrounding community. Dan was such a compassionate person. He did the arrangements for my step-brother and mother. He never failed to spend much time with the family and answer any questions we had. As an Organist I was involved in many funerals in the area and loved to work with him during those occasions. My heart goes to his family for their loss.

I met Dan when he handled my father's services April 23, 1995. He has handled many of my family's services since then. He always did a wonderful job. He always joked with my mother, Elva, that he would make her beautiful when she passed. He will be greatly missed.

Always quick with a smile, hug, comforting words of encouragement and humor. He was a blessing to me and to my family during our times of greatest sorrow. A good and faithful servant. Rest in eternal peace.

Cupp family. Dan = Patriotic Gentleman. A man after God's heart. A man as an extension of Jesus to everyone he interacted with. With the recent passing of my father, I will be forever grateful to Dan (whole team) for taking care of my mother (Shirley) given that I live in Michigan. Dan always had God's healing words to share with us and provided guidance through the whole process. I can empathize with you. Allow God's love (physically through other family & friends or through various writings/cards) to give you strength. Allow God's words, Holy Scripture, to ease the pain and eventually erase the pain. Dan is living in the presence of Jesus. Dan will live in your hearts forever. May God always bless you. May God give you enduring comfort at this time. May God's peace continue to comfort you.

A very compassionate man - he helped us through each of our parents passing by being kind and offering empathy while we planned both services.

I specifically remember after our father's sudden passing, he offered his arm to my mother and led her down the aisle of the church, with us following behind. That was such a kind thing to do.

My condolences to his family and friends.

I was so floored to hear of Dan's passing today. He had taken care of my father's arrangements many years ago and when she passed away in April of this year, we immediately went to Emig's and Dan and Heather took such good care of everything during a really rough time. To Heather and the rest of the family, I am incredibly sorry for your loss and truly hope that there are people in your lives who can be as much of a comfort and solace to you as Dan was to us.

What a terrible loss for our community. Dover will not be the same without Dan's compassion and eagerness to help us thru the toughest times of our lives.
I will forever have a heart of gratitude and thankfulness for Dan Cupp.
In 2005 when we lost 3 family members in 5 days, Dan worked tirelessly to have both my grandparents prepared for burial together.
Remembering you fondly and eternally grateful for the life you shared with us.
May God's comfort and strength be with his beautiful family today, tomorrow and in the months ahead.
