Ambrose Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. - ArbutusDaniel (Danny) Patrick DeBoy, 58, of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, music, kindness, and unforgettable stories.
Dan held a variety of roles in the construction arena throughout his lifetime, but his true passion was music. It was Dan’s greatest joy. A self-taught guitar player, he not only filled every space with warmth through the songs of his favorite bands but also lived his dream by playing in a band during his years in the Outer Banks. Sharing music with others was one of the happiest chapters of his life. His dream remained simple and pure: to one day play guitar and sing at Captain Tony’s in Key West — a reflection of everything he loved.
His love of sports, particularly his loyalty to the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens, was also a big part of who he was.
Dan’s humor, nicknames, impersonations and unique expressions created a world all his own, one filled with history, inside jokes, and endless laughter. He accepted everyone without judgment and made people feel instantly comfortable, simply by being himself.
May his stories continue to make us laugh, his music warm our hearts, and his bright spirit live on in every memory we hold close.
He is immediately survived by his three brothers and sister; Steve DeBoy, Sr. (Jenny) of Halethorpe, MD; Tim DeBoy (wife Laura Pingel) of Ellicott City, MD, John DeBoy (Cindi) of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Colleen DeBoy (husband Michael Abendschoen) of Halethorpe, MD; nephews and nieces; Steve DeBoy, Jr (Molly), Mandy Lund (Matt), Diana Kean (Kevin), Jake Smuck, Chance DeBoy, Allison DeBoy and David DeBoy; dear friend of Blayne Weiner.
He was also loved by many extended family members and lifelong friends. Danny is predeceased by his parents, Don and Rose Marie DeBoy; grandparents Ferd and Hazel DeBoy and Raymond and Margaret Donahue; uncles Jake DeBoy, Edward Whitaker and Richard Flanigan.
