Daniel Davis

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Daniel "Danny" Lane Davis on March 12, 2026.

Danny grew up in Baileyton and graduated from North Greene High School in 1965. He proudly served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1969 and later retired from Magnavox. A self-taught and incredibly talented musician, Danny found his greatest joy playing the guitar. We will always remember his quick wit and the beautiful music he shared with us all.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, William Harry Davis; his mother, Dorothy Lane Davis; and his brother, Phillip Davis.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Richards; his son-in-law and best friend, Jack "Chris" Richards; and his son, Richard Delanis "Mister" Davis. He also leaves behind his sister, Carole Smith; his grandchildren, Beth Anne (C.J.) Landers, Cole Richards, Kyle Richards, and Emma Davis; his great-grandsons, Cameron James Landers and Elijah Lane Landers; his nephew, Jason Smith; and his niece, Leslie Brown. He is also survived by his close friend and the mother of his children, Dema Davis, as well as his "Girls," Robin Beamer and Joy Bowman, whom he loved like family & enjoyed making music with for many years.

We invite you to join us as we receive friends and family to honor Danny's memory on Sunday March 22nd, from 2pm-5pm at Jeffers Funeral Home Downtown.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
