DiRienzo, Jr., Daniel R., age 67 of Fenton, formerly of Waterford, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2024, with his family by his side. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Floodgate Church located at 1535 N. Old US 23, Howell, Michigan. Pastor Bill Bolin officiating. Private burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel,1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Daniel's memory to the Center of Hope – Fenton, MI  www.fentoncenterofhope.org, or to Floodgate Church www.floodgatechurch.com.

 

Daniel was born on August 16, 1956 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Daniel R., Sr., and Grace M. (Contessa) DiRienzo. He graduated from Bishop O'Hara High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from William Tyndale College. He was married to Rae Anne Ridgeway on April 15, 1978 in Clarkston, Michigan. He worked for 32 years at Continental Automotive in Auburn Hills, MI. He was a member, and past President, of the Fenton Lakes Sportsman's Club. Daniel’s deepest passion was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone he met. Daniel also enjoyed being an NRA Instructor, along with the capacity to build, fix or repair anything. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his family and friends.

 

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rae Anne. Children, Anthony (Serena) DiRienzo of Richfield Twp and Daniel (Alisa) DiRienzo III of Farmington Hills. Grandchildren, Katriana; Conner; Gloria; Valorie; Jonathan; Joanna; Thaddeus; Daniel IV; Nathaniel; Anna; David; Kenneth; Abigail; and Zephaniah. Also survived by sister, Suzanne Schreckengaust; plus extended family and friends. Mr. DiRienzo was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael.
