Dan , we will miss you. You were someone to look up to (even though i did not always agree politically ) you were a good leader when we served on the consistory together, and a good friend. Beth ,

Sorry to hear about Dan's passing. Lots of good memories of Dan & the Dubbink family when they lived in Hamilton. Even then, Dan and his Benjamin pellet gun was a threat to small critters.

I greatly enjoyed & appreciated serving God as Cadet Leaders and then on Consistory over the years with Dan. He was always a smiling face.

"Well done thou good and faithful servant" was sure to be heard by Dan as he blessed and inspired so many! Our deepest sympathies to Beth, Jason, Laura and all family and close friends. He was a great neighbor and someone I always looked up to.

I have a hard time to believe Dan (Gunner) is not with us anymore, because of him leaving there will be many more pheasants and fish in North Dakota for me to chase around, he wasn't to bad of a hunter and fisherman. I will miss him greatly

I can't believe the Gunner is not with us anymore, he was a great friend and not to bad of a hunter and fisherman I'm sure there will a lot more pheasants in the fields of North Dakota and fish in the lakes because he is not there to chase them around. I'll will miss him dearly

It was a beautiful service for Dan today. He will truly be missed in our extended family. Thank you Beth, and May God bless and keep you and your family in His constant care in the days ahead. I love you all.

So sorry to hear of Dans passing. He was a cool cat and I always enjoyed our conversations anywhere we saw each other. I still have some of the walnut he gave me for building calls from. Rip my friend.

We were so sad to hear about Dan's passing. I (Cindy) saw Dan from a distance at his uncle's outdoor memorial just a month ago and wondered how he was doing. Our sympathies to Beth, Jason and Laura along with their families. Also to sister Dorothy, brothers Don and Doug and their families. I will always fondly remember our growing up years. I always kidded Dan after his birthday that now we were the same age. He likewise returned the favor after my birthday about me being older than him. So may great times together. The last few years we did not have the same opportunities to be close geography wise but when we did see each other it was as if we had never been apart. Always that great kinship. Dan will always be in our fondest of memories.

As I may note today, Dan was a friend and brother in Christ who I came to know too little, too late. Beth, we wish you the richest of God's blessing in these days ahead.

I simply adored Dan. Not only was he everyone's lumber go to - he was most definitely mine in my years of working with him through high school and college! He had such a gentle spirit about him. Dan was incredibly patient and kind, and always quick to hug and crack a grin. I remember him telling me not to wish my life away, that my high school years would be the best years of my life. I still reflect on these words today and imagine that every time I do, I will think of him and smile.

You have our sympathy, Beth. Lots of good memories of Dan in high school!! While camping at Swan Creek, we learned how to not cook chicken on an open fire. We cooked it about 20 minutes and it looked good!!!! Just a lot of pink inside the bird. Went hungry that night!!! We also spent many hours ice fishing at Ludington. Beth I am so sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you and the family . I am going through this with you many memories come back to me of how it is to let go of those you love so dearly. If at any time down the road you think you would like to talk to some one who also went through it I would love to be there to listen . I have many good memories of Dan And you playing ball. I remember one time we were at practice Dan was catching I was on third and he threw it to me to get someone out and it went over the tip of my glove and hit my cheek bone and boy did I get a black eye from that one.

Beth and all other family members, we are very saddened to learn of Dan's death. He was a kind and quiet gentleman and a member of a wonderful family. He always had a kind word and a smile for us whenever and wherever we met. He made Hamilton and all of west Michigan a better place.

Dan was a giant of a man. Not just a big guy, but his spirit, heart, and personality.
Beth and family, I ask that your emptiness be filled by the God of all comfort. He knows your pain and He knows your sadness. The best thing is we have HOPE! Biblical hope is defined as a foreknown knowledge of future events. So, In Christ, we can know that we will see Dan again in Heaven.
