Daniel is survived by his wife, Janice Eckman; his mother, Mona Eckman; two brothers, Marvin (Sharon) Eckman and Ronald Eckman; a step daughter, Dena (Harry) Ruikka Jr.; step grandchildren, Alexander (Page) Ruikka, Kaleb Ruikka (Breanna Fields), Jaylynn Ruikka, Bayden Ruikka and step great-grandchildren, Kora and Leon Ruikka.
Preceding Daniel in death are his father, Dale Eckman and one sister, Jean Eckman.
No Services are being held. If desired memorials can be sent to Janice at 300 3rd Ave. N.E. Apt. 213, Crosby, MN 56441. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
