Daniel B. Eddo Niskayuna- Daniel B. Eddo, 77, loving husband of Elizabeth A. (Sullivan) Eddo, of Niskayuna passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2023. Born June 9, 1946 in Utica, he was the son of the late Michael A. Eddo and Jennie A. (Saad) Eddo.
Dan was a graduate of BCHS and SUNY Albany. While a junior at Rider College, he performed in a USO Tour to the Far East. After returning home to Delmar, he worked at the family business, General Hearing Aids, Inc. Following his father's untimely passing in 1967, he worked side-by-side with his mother until 1975 when he assumed the role of President; a position he held until his retirement in 2015.
Dan developed a passion for music and performing later in life, playing acoustic guitar and singing live as a solo act, as well as in The Fuzzy Brothers duo. He went on to join the Racing City Chorus and then the Big Apple Chorus, participating in a national barber shop competition in Portland, OR.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Elizabeth, daughter Danielle E. (Eddo) Osborne and her husband Robert, son Michael A. Eddo II, granddaughter Alyssa L. Eddo, grandson Derek D. Eddo, brother Lawrence R. Eddo and many loved cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother Ronald D. Eddo.
At Dan's request, he has been cremated and there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Protective Foundation, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
