Dan helped me on my formative years in music as my trumpet instructor. I have fond memories traveling to Boston together to Rayburn´s brass store, Dan helping me with Allstate auditions and Dan helping me with college auditions. An inspiration who was instrumental in starting my professional path in music. Thank you Dan.

I performed with Dan in his years in the NH Philharmonic Orchestra. Dan was not only a terrific trumpet player and musician but also one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of knowing. My heart goes out to the family. He will be sorely missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan in Amherst. He always had a smile on his face and he just lit up being around the kids. He was always willing to help out in any situation. He definitely left on mark on the children and staff in Amherst. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss.

Dan played in the orchestra of many concerts where I was performing. Most fondly, however, he graciously played for my daughter's wedding and we had such fun dancing together at the reception! He asked for a copy of a photo from that which, of course, I gave him. He was always very lovely and funny...such a warm smile! My thoughts go out to his family and many friends and colleagues as I am sure we are all very saddened by this.

Dan gave my family the greatest gift in spending some time with our Dad, Bob Waters, during his last days. He played at his funeral. Dad was an avid trumpet player and Dan's playing at his funeral was so important. I'm deeply saddened. He always greeted me with a smile and warmth. The community has lost one of the great ones.
