In Loving Memory of Daniel Lee Ford
Daniel Lee Ford, a man of immense love, unwavering strength, and peaceful spirit, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 77. A proud United States Air Force veteran who served with honor for 20 years, Daniel departed this life surrounded by the love of his family, leaving with the same grace and calm that defined his journey.
Born on September 22, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Daniel was a beacon of light to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Yong Ford, for 40 years-a marriage built on enduring love, partnership, and mutual respect. He was also a loving brother to Christy, James, Steven, and Leslie, and a cherished son to the late Lorraine and Donald Ford. Daniel's steadfast love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. His children-Daniel II, Donald II, and Alexander-were his pride and joy, and he spent every day showing them the true meaning of unconditional love and support. His calm demeanor and quiet strength were a source of comfort and wisdom to all who knew him.
Known for his friendly nature and genuine interest in others, Daniel never met a stranger. His kind smile and approachable spirit made him a treasured friend to many. He lived simply, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone he touched. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Yong; his children, Daniel II, Donald II, and Alexander; his siblings, Christy, James, Steven, and Leslie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacey on August 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Daniel's honor to the Sacred Heart Parish Men's Winter Shelter, continuing his legacy of compassion and service.
