Daniel Kent Green

Daniel Kent Green, 61, passed away on June 29, 2021 surrounded by his loving family of natural causes. He was born on September 21, 1959 to parents Marjorie Rose McFarland and Verl Merrill Green, one of 5 children. His parents raised their family on a farm in Burley, Idaho where he was taught how to work and how to serve.

Daniel served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Jose, CA from 1979-1980. After coming home, he attended BYU and graduated in 1984 with a Manufacturing Engineering Degree.

After graduation, he met Eleanor Anne Mejia, who had just returned from serving her mission for the church in Guayaquil, Ecuador in the fall of 1987. They married in the Los Angeles Temple on February 20, 1988 and settled in Utah in the summer of that year and raised their family there. Daniel retired from engineering in 1998 and became a Real Estate Investor.

He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in multiple bishoprics and in various other callings. He enjoyed serving the youth and was always willing to help at girls camp. He loved to laugh, go hiking, watch the Jazz, and the Cougars, and spending time at the cabin in Lava Hot Springs.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Farr West, UT; his sons, James Daniel (Cierra) Green of Ogden, UT, Carl Daniel (Tyara) Green of San Diego, CA, Derek Daniel Green and Ryan Daniel Green of Farr West, UT; his daughters, Angela (William) Bounds of Roy, UT, Leanne (Danny Allred) Green of Plain City, UT, Audrey (Travis) Kearl of Tremonton, UT, Katherine Leigh Green, Clarissa Rose Green, and Emma Caroline Meri Green, all of Farr West, UT; 7 grandchildren; his mother, Marjorie Green of Burley, ID; his brother, Marvin Verl Green of Phoenix, AZ; his sisters, Sharon (Ed) Fila of Bountiful, UT, Bonnie Jo (Kevin) Engstrom of Washington, UT, and Nancy (Robert) Anderson of Burley, ID.

He was preceded in death by his father, Verl Merrill Green; grandmothers, Theresa Caron (John Wallace) McFarland and Clarinda Maude (George Davis) Green, and granddaughter, Addisyn Bell Bounds.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Farr West 8th Ward, 1800 N. 1800 W. Farr West. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd, and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Church. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
