Daniel Ivan Hamrick

Daniel Ivan Hamrick, 75, of Loudendale, WV, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2025, after suffering a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Seymour Hamrick and Rhetta (Ballard) Hamrick; brothers and sisters, Billy Hamrick, Bobby Hamrick, Elizabeth Hamrick, Franklin Hamrick, Ronald Hamrick and sister-in-law Linda, Daisy Hamrick, Caroline Hamrick, and his beloved nephew, "Shardy."
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Jane (Hamrick) Green and son-in-law Matthew Green of South Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Thomas Daniel Green, Benjamin Matthew Green and Harmony Jane Holstein of South Charleston; brothers, Jim Hamrick of Virginia, Gene Hamrick and wife Donna of Big Chimney, WV, and Donald Hamrick and Lorna of Red House, WV; the mother of his daughter, Debra (Pickett) Young of Charleston; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; many cousins, and beloved family and friends.
Daniel was a member of the first graduating class at G.W. High School. He received his vocational license in Mechanics. Daniel was a retiree from University of Charleston with 25 years of service, where he was a maintenance man and journeyman electrician. In his free time, he enjoyed the annual hunting and fishing trips with his brothers and family. In honor of his nephew "Shardy," Daniel was an avid West Virginia University Mountaineers fan.
A very caring, loving and hardworking person, Daniel loved and cherished his family. He looked forward to seeing his family at their annual family reunions. He kept every single picture and card that anyone ever sent him and hung them on his wall proudly.
He was loved by many and he will be missed dearly.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on August 18, 2025, at Loudendale Freewill Baptist Church, with Pastor Tom Dyer officiating. Daniel will be laid to rest in the Loudendale Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
