Chasity, Jerod & family : so very sorry for your loss!!!

Shelia, I am praying God's arms will comfort you. There are no words good enough to express the sorrow I feel. From our younger years I have such good memories of us all together. Our great trip to Arkansas just the three of us. Many Sunday afternoons after church spent together. Danny was always there to lend a helping hand. He helped my mom and dad a lot too. I know the love your kids and you share will help you heal. 57 years of friendship can't be erased. Love to you all.

As I lay here trying to process this is my mind, I can't help but think that it can't be true. Grampy taught me a lot of things and was always showing me how to be a hardworking man. I always enjoyed being around him and being his helping hand. There was never a time where he wasnt fiddling with a project or thinking of the next project to accomplish. He was my hero and I always looked up to him. I will never forget his smile, his voice and his appearance, and will most of all never forget the memories we made together. I know he took very good care of my Grammy and will always look down on her to make sure she and the rest of our family are doing ok. I will always miss you and love you Grampy.

You had a huge impact on my life. You were always there to lend a hand. I could always call you for advice and guidance. You would set me straight when I needed it. You helped get me to come back to church and had a hand in introducing me to my wife. I wouldn't be where I am today without you. You are and always will be severely missed. Thank you for everything. We love you.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of this fine man. Dan was the most selfless and honorable person that I knew of. I was honored that he was my good friend and my union brother.

This world was made better because of Dan and I shed a tear that he is gone.

God bless his family and be comforted by the fact that Heaven welcomes Dan with open arms.

Dan and Sheila were neighbors to my husband Jay and I in Rockford for 20 years. I knew I could always count on them for an encouraging word or thought - or a hug and a prayer whenever I was in need. Dan was always out in his garage or yard - always busy- but always willing to stop what he was doing to talk to his neighbors and help them out. When Dan and Sheila told me they were moving to Arkansas - I was happy for them, but I was sad inside to know I wouldn't be able to wave hello and see my neighbors daily anymore. I still drive by their house and glance over expecting to see them. I know Dan was enjoying his new home down south. I am especially saddened for Sheila and for his family with the loss of this wonderful human being. God will take care of all of you. RIP my dear friend.

Sheila I am so sorry to hear about Danny's passing. Danny was a loving, godly, and caring person. I remember when you were ill,how Danny so lovingly cared for you.He loved you a lot. We would see you at the Mall and he was so attentive to you. We had lunch with you many years ago at Five Coins. Both of you were loving, godly and caring people. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this sad time. May God be with you to give you comfort, peace and love. He was my favorite Uncle. My favorite memories are the "...and I love you" from every conversation.

Dan was an amazing inspiring man, he even got my son to love church. I remember that day like it was yesterday, smiling side by side.

Danny, you always treated Paul and I like your kids, hugged us and told us you loved us and when we weren't going to church, told us we should be. We love you forever and you will forever be missed, until God calls us home.
