Daniel Francis Harvey of Branford passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was the husband of Nancy Harvey of Branford. He was the father of Cheryl Robertson (Bruce) of North Branford and Rachael Harvey of Bridgeport, and the step-father of Jason (Jake) Bontatibus of Ohio. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his first wife Ceceila DeTulio, his daughter Deborah (Deby) Montonari, his sister Rose Mary Williamson and his brother Joseph Harvey. Daniel was born in New Haven on July 13, 1942, a son of the late Joseph and Rachela "Lucy" Harvey. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a Detective Sergeant for the West Haven Police Department for many years. Daniel also worked as Head of Security for Miles pharmaceuticals and was Vice President for 1st Security.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday January 7 at 11:00 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Burial will be private. Please see his online memorial at www.wsclancy.com.
