My condolences to you Pam and the whole Kleinschmidt family. The Dairy Queen was my first job from 1974-77. I often look back on those days and as amazed at the work ethic and leadership the Garlies got out of their young staff. Working under Dan, who was only a year older than myself, taught me we could have fun and still get the job done. Dan had a lot on integrity.

FIRST MET DAN WHEN HE WAS A CUSTOMER OF MINE. STARTED GOING TO THE CANDLEGLOW SUPPER CLUB BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD. WHEN HE OPENED THE SAFARI AT THE GOLF COURSE, I STARTED GOLFING ON HIS TEAM, SHOOTING ON HIS POOL TEAM. DID A LOT WITH HIM. I HAD TO STOP GOLFING BECAUSE OF A BAD BACK, BUT DAN KEPT GOLFING WITH HIS PARKINSON, HE WAS A GREAT ATHLETE THRU MOST OF HIS LIFE. WHEN HE WAS IN THE NURSING HOME, I COULD NOT BRING MYSELF TO GO SEE HIM, I WANTED TO REMEMBER THE MAN I KNEW, NOT WHAT HE HAD BECOME. I KNOW THAT HE'S AT PEACE NOW, I PRAY PAM AND THE CHILDREN ARE TOO. NOT GOOD BY DAN JUST SO LONG.

Dan was my manager at the Dairy Queen. He was a lot of fun to work for and always happy. Dan was a great guy.
